Product Description
Bravecto Plus Topical Solution for Cats prevents and protects against parasites and pests in five effective ways. For about 2 months, this incredible formula prevents and kills reinfesting American dog ticks, black-legged ticks, and fleas. It treats adult, immature adult, and 4th stage larvae of hookworms and roundworms. Finally, it defends against dangerous heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis.
Who is Bravecto Plus Topical Solution for Cats for?
Cats 8 weeks and older and weighing a minimum of 2.6lbs
Why use Bravecto Plus Topical Solution for Cats?
This product promotes compliance and decreases application-related stress that the pet and pet parent experience with its two-month treatment duration. This solution prevents and cures tick and flea infestations once administered. It also treats hookworms and roundworms and prevents heartworms.
How does Bravecto Plus Topical Solution for Cats work?
Moxidectin and fluralaner are the main components in this medication. Moxidectin belongs to the milbemycin category of macrocyclic lactones and serves to block correct nervous system activity in systemic parasites. It seeks out and binds to the glutamate-gated chloride and gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) channels, causing hyperpolarization, paralysis, and parasite death. Fluralaner is an isoxazoline-substituted benzamide derivative that operates in arthropods to prevent appropriate nervous system function. To produce paralysis, it targets ligand-gated chloride channels.

Then, with protective gloves on, hold the tube with the tip pointing up and spin the cap one complete turn in either way. When the cap is opened, it will stay on the tube and a faint clicking sound will be heard to indicate that the seal has been broken. Part your cat's fur at the base of his or her skull while the animal is standing stationary or resting horizontally. Place the tube tip directly on the skin of the animal. Squeeze to get the entire contents out of the tube. Make sure the administered amount does not run or leak. To avoid a runoff, utilize a second location where the cat won't be able to lick. A greasy, oily, or moist look may arise depending on the cat. This doesn't last long. The dosage is calculated depending on the patient's weight, and the proper tube should be used. Have a vet tech apply the first treatment or lead you through the application before you start administering it at home. If this medicine is being used to replace a heartworm drug, it must be given within one month of the previous heartworm treatment. If a treatment is missed, provide it as soon as feasible and continue for two months, counting from the day it was given. This topical medicine should be applied once every 12 weeks at a dose of 18.2 mg fluralaner per pound and 0.9 mg moxidectin per pound. It can be used all year or only when there is a first or second seasonal mosquito exposure.
