Drontal Plus Tabs are a product that can help remove intestinal parasites from puppies and dogs over the age of 3 weeks and greater than 2 pounds. This single-dose product helps to eliminate tapeworms, roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms.
How does Drontal Plus Taste Tab work?
If you're traveling with your pet, spraying them with this product can help reduce stress. You should spray them about 15 minutes before you put them in a kennel, carrier, or car. The effects should last for around 4 or 5 hours. If you're traveling long-distance, re-spray the inside of the vehicle or carrier every few hours. Make sure to wait 15 minutes after spraying for the alcohol to evaporate before putting your pet back in. To control stress and related behavior in other scenarios, like thunderstorms, fireworks, being home alone, kennel stays, new family members, moving, adoption, etc), use this spray in conjunction with an ADAPTIL collar and/or diffuser.This product may be used directly on/in indoor kennels, crates, bedding, and more - just allow for 15 minutes of dry time before introducing the dog to the area.Re-apply twice daily. Do not spray on the dog or the dog's face.

What are the side effects of Drontal Plus Taste Tab?
In rare cases, adverse reactions include vomiting, inappetence, or diarrhea. Other reactions are also possible. Consult your veterinarian to discuss any unusual or bothersome symptoms.
What special precautions are there?
Keep this medication away from children and animals. If a pregnant animal takes this drug, there is an increased risk of abortion and fetal abnormalities. There is also a risk that the animal will shed eggs in its feces after treatment. During this time, it is important to keep pets away from the medication and incinerate or autoclave their feces.If you can't incinterate the feces, you can destroy the eggs by soaking the feces in a solution of sodium hypochlorite (3.75% or more). Any area where the pet was held and any area the pet made contact with should be cleaned using the same solution. Make sure everything is dry before you reuse it.
What to do if overdose?
If overdose occurs, please contact your local pet hospital or emergency pet clinic immediately.

Recommended Dosage for Puppies or Dogs Over 2 Pounds and Older Than 3 Weeks (in Number of Tablets): 2 to 4 Pounds: 1/2 5 to 7 Pounds: 1 8 to 12 Pounds: 1 1/2 13 to 18 Pounds: 2 19 to 25 Pounds: 2 1/2 26 to 30 Pounds: 1 31 to 44 Pounds: 1 1/2 45 to 60 Pounds: 2 61 to 90 Pounds: 1 1/2 91 to 120 Pounds: 2 The animal should be weighed prior to treatment to ensure proper dosing. Administer a single treatment orally. Parasite presence should be verified with a laboratory fecal test. The majority of dogs will readily accept Drontal Plus Taste Tabs when hand-fed. For finicky eater or if preferred, the tablets can be administered in a small amount of food. Fasted is not recommended or necessary before or after treatment. If the animal lives in an area where reinfection is likely, preventative action should be taken to avoid the need for re-treatment (particularly in cases of Dipylidium caninum where reinfection is likely if the fleas are not removed from the environment and the animal itself). For Echinococcus multilocularis control, regular treatment may be required every 21 to 26 days.
