Gabapentin is frequently used in combination with other pain relievers. Gabapentin, when given concurrently, gradually diminishes the animal's reliance on and need for other medicines. Why use Gabapentin Capsule?
Gabapentin is used to control seizure activity in foals suffering from hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE). It is also useful in controlling chronic pain and treating seizures that are resistant.

Gabapentin is an antiepileptic and anticonvulsant that acts by interfering with the neurons and molecules that produce pain and seizures.

What are the side effects of Gabapentin Capsule?
Sedation is the most frequently-reported adverse response to this drug. Watch the animal and look out for symptoms like drowsiness or incoordination.
What special precautions are there?
Do not abruptly discontinue Gabapentin treatment. Life-threatening seizures can occur. Gabapentin is almost completely eliminated by the urinary tract and kidneys. For this reason, it should be given with great caution to animals who have kidney disease.
What to do if overdose?
If overdose occurs, please contact your local pet hospital or emergency pet clinic immediately.
How can I store Gabapentin Capsule?
Keep at room temperature between 68-77° F
Overview
If your cat or kitten is in discomfort, give them 1.4 milligrams per pound once a day. Give 2.3 mg per pound three times a day to cats and kittens who are having seizures. If your dog or puppy is in discomfort, give them 1.4 milligrams per pound once a day. For seizures in dogs and puppies, provide 4.5mg to 13.5mg for every pound at 8- to 12-hour intervals. Follow your veterinarian's instructions for administration.
