For use in veterinary medicine, Optixcare Eye Health is a topical, sterile ophthalmic gel. This nutritious antioxidant blend protects the eyes from inflammation and oxidative stress. As a pet becomes older, oxidative stress can develop, leading to retinal degeneration, cataracts, and dry eyes.

How does Optixcare Eye Health, 20 gm work?
Resveratrol, an antioxidant derived from red grape skin, is included in Optixcare Eye Health. It has been shown in studies to lower aging-related inflammation and oxidative stress. Astaxanthin is a powerful antioxidant present in shrimp, salmon, and microalgae, and is commonly referred to as "Super Vitamin E." It has 100 times the amount of antioxidants as vitamin E. Pyruvate is an endogenous antioxidant that is important for energy generation and metabolism. Pyruvate has been shown in studies to lower inflammation and oxidative damage. Finally, EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate), a green tea-derived component, is included in this composition. The antioxidant content of this substance is ten times that of vitamin E. It is effective in removing excess free radicals and iron from the body.

What special precautions are there?
This and any other type of medication should be kept away from animals and children. If your pet displays indications of eye irritation or discomfort, stop using this product and visit your veterinarian. Until the cap is removed, the contents are sterile. Keep the tube and its contents away from the eye to avoid infection. After each application, replace the product cap.

If overdose occurs, please contact your local pet hospital or emergency pet clinic immediately.

Overview
One or two times per day, instill a drop or two into the affected eye(s) by placing it directly onto the animal's cornea(s) or into his or her conjunctival sac(s). Always follow the advice of a veterinarian.
